چکیده

We present the design of a novel K-band radar architecture for short-range target detection. Applications include direction finding systems and automotive radar. The developed system is compact low cost employs substrate-integrated-waveguide (SIW) antenna arrays 4×4 Butler matrix (BM) beamformer. In particular, proposed transmits frequency modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) signal at 24 GHz, scanning horizontal plane by switching four input ports BM in time. Also, conjunction with new processing method received signals, able to provide enhanced resolution reduced computational burden when compared more standard single-input multiple-output (SIMO) multiple-input (MIMO) systems. performance has also been measured an anechoic chamber results have analyzed illuminating identifying test targets which are 2° apart, while making comparisons SIMO MIMO FMCW radars. Moreover, architecture, appropriate design, can be scaled operate other microwave millimeter-wave frequencies, providing computationally efficient multi-channel platform.

Fmcw Based Mimo Imaging Radar

There are a number of potential applications for low cost short range phased array radar sensors: ship bumpers, large vehicle sensors and level crossing obstacle detection for example. Phased arrays have the benefit of reduced size and the elimination of moving parts compared with more traditional rotating antenna systems. Another potential benefit is that the image update rate can be orders of...

A Multi-beam and Multi-range Radar with Fmcw and Digital Beam Forming for Automo- Tive Applications

In this paper, we propose a multi-beam and multi-range (MBMR) radar with frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) waveform and digital beam forming (DBF) algorithm to cover a detection area of long range and narrow angle (150 m, ±10◦) as well as short range and wide angle (60 m, ±30◦) as a single 24 GHz sensor. The developed radar is highly integrated with multiple phased-array antennas, a tw...
